Garden Design
A successful garden design is a collaboration between the clients and designer.

I listen to what you want your garden to look like , feel and how you wish to use the space.
Some clients might not know exactly how they want their garden to look so the free consultation provides us with time to discuss different options.

Along with undertaking a topographical and horticultural survey carried out by me (or an external supplier depending on size and complexity of your garden) this information forms a brief from which I can create a concept design.

Through a presentation of illustrations and with your feedback I can then refine the design so it completely meets your aspirations.

When you are happy with the design, this brings us to the stage of finding the right landscaper to build your garden within budget. You might have someone in mind but if not I can recommend reputable landscaping companies I work with.

Many gardens are built and planted in phases (sometimes over a few years) reflecting client needs, and how much money they want to spend at any one time.

It is my passion to provide a service that combines my skills and a client centred brief so gardens provide enjoyment and are a welcoming space.

If you want any more information about the garden design process or to book a free consultation please feel free to contact me.

Planting Schemes
There is a range of reasons to employ a designer/ gardener to create a new or revitalised planting schemes.

Many peoples gardens have a lawn but no plants, plants have become overgrown or flowers are not blooming because the conditions are not suitable.

I have professional experience of creating and developing the planting schemes of historic country gardens, period suburban properties and contemporary city gardens.

Whether your garden is shady, sunny or somewhere in between and you want a contemporary or period look that is low, medium or high maintenance I can create a planting scheme that is right for you. It may also mean that rather than buying new plants, those specimens failing in a particular area can be transplanted to a more suitable spot where they will thrive.
